Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Compete CTF platform, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.

2. User Accounts

To participate in challenges, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Providing accurate and up-to-date information
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

3. Acceptable Use

When using our platform, you agree NOT to:

  • Share challenge solutions publicly or with other users
  • Use automated tools or scripts to solve challenges unfairly
  • Attempt to compromise the security or integrity of our platform
  • Attack or disrupt our servers or infrastructure
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Use the platform for any illegal activities
  • Create multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages
  • Reverse engineer or decompile our platform code

4. Challenge Rules

When participating in CTF challenges:

  • Challenges must be solved individually unless explicitly stated otherwise
  • Flag sharing is strictly prohibited
  • Brute-force attacks against the platform infrastructure are not allowed
  • Only attack the specific challenge targets provided
  • Report any unintended vulnerabilities to administrators

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Compete CTF platform, including challenges, text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Compete CTF or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
  • Use our trademarks or branding without authorization
  • Republish challenges on other platforms

6. User Content

By submitting content to our platform (such as profile information), you grant us a license to use, modify, and display that content as necessary to operate the platform.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

  • Violation of these Terms of Service
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
  • Prolonged inactivity

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

8. Disclaimers

The Compete CTF platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • That challenges will always be available
  • The accuracy or completeness of any content
  • That the platform is free from malicious code (though we take security seriously)

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Compete CTF shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the platform.

10. Educational Purpose

This platform is designed for educational purposes to help users learn cybersecurity concepts and techniques. The skills learned here should only be applied in authorized, legal contexts.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
